Louise Nevett
Louise has been here with us at Sun Pier House since the very beginning of our creative journey. Joining our studios in January 2013 as our very first studio artist.
Louise was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and studied Graphic Design at The Canterbury College of Art. She then studied her degree in Fine Art at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, now The University for the Creative Arts.
Louise works as a free-lance illustrator and has produced work for magazines, journals and over fifty books. She has taught art to young people at a pupil referral unit and still runs adult art classes today.
Through drawings, collage, prints and paintings Louise’s work explores the everyday issues around domesticity, social issues and expectations relating to image, motherhood, family and food.
Exhibiting widely throughout the UK and France, Louise is also a part of the London-based artist collective, Desperate Art Wives.
