BIG DRAW little people was BACK home this summer
After a year “on tour” BIG DRAW little people was back where it belonged in the Riverside Gallery and for the first time we had a theme!
The Big River Draw linked our 300 Steps to the River project and our annual BIG DRAW Little People festival, creating a wonderful celebration of the River Medway which culminated our final exhibition.
Alongside our giant River Medway Mosaic, we created new “how-to-draw” worksheets, worked with community partners such as Medway Pride, Child Friendly Medway and MESS ROOM and held 11 workshops, all linked to the River Medway including:
- River Sunsets
- Riverscapes
- Ship in a bottle
- Changing Tides
- Pride Rainbows
- Barges and Boats
- 300 Footsteps
Over 250 children aged 3 – 16 attended the workshops and 265 post-it doodles were drawn and collected over the summer of events and festivals including Sticks N Stones festival and Chatham Carnival, and added to our giant River Medway Mosaic.
