We’re located in Chatham Town Centre, just off the High Street, next to Sun Pier overlooking the river, alongside B&M (what used to be Staples).
Opening Hours
Our opening hours vary depending on exhibitions, events, and bookings. Please always check in advance.
Studios & Events: Open by appointment and during scheduled events.
Ground Floor Entrance
From the car park, at the bottom of the yellow block, accessible push button doors open up into the ground floor lobby for studios including the MESS ROOM (by appointment only).
Climb the stairs or take the lift up to the 1st floor for the Community Hire Space, toilets or Studios (by appointment only), or up to the 2nd floor for the Gallery, Café, Toilets or Office.
Creation Space Entrance
Main door is closest to the yellow block, if the door is locked use the ground floor intercom to reach us in the office.
1st Floor Balcony Entrances
The 1st floor Main Entrance is in the yellow block for the Community Hire Space, toilets or Studios (by appointment only), or climb the stairs or take the lift up to the up to the 2nd floor for the Gallery, Café, Toilets or Office.
The bright orange door on the balcony is for Artist Studios (by appointment only)
If the doors are locked, please use the intercom or call the office but we are a part-time team and not always in the office.
Public Transport
By Train: Chatham Railway Station is a 10-minute walk away, with direct services from London, Rochester, and the Kent coast.
By Bus: Several bus routes stop nearby, including services from Rochester, Gillingham, and Maidstone. The closest stops are on The Brook and Chatham Waterfront Bus Station (both a 5-minute walk).
On-site ANPR Parking
We have a ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) pay ‘n’ display car park on-site with multiple signs and instructions around the car park. This means every license plate that enters our car park is recorded.

You must purchase a ticket within 30 mins of arriving in the car park to avoid being issued a parking charge.
You can extend your car parking duration via the Phone and Pay app or telephone service.
Alternative Parking
Sir John Hawkins Car Park (ME4 4JL) – 2-minute walk
Chatham Riverside Multi-Storey Car Park (ME4 4QU) – 5-minute walk
Short-stay on-street parking is available on Medway Street and nearby roads.
Parking Fines
The car park is managed by an external company, If you are issued a fine please follow the instructions via the PCN (Penalty Charge Notice) visit www.ce-service.co.uk/how-to-pay/ or call 0115 8225020.
Appeals must be submitted online within 28 days of the Parking Charge Notice issue date. Please include all evidence to be relied on in support of your appeal.
