Met Creatives – Mona Tabbicca

Artist Statement:
Mona Tabbicca is a contemporary silversmith and jeweller working under her brand, MET Creatives. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery Design from the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester in 2016, she established her practice at Sun Pier House, where she works from her fully equipped jewellery workshop.
Specialising in precious metals, wood, ceramics and glass, Mona draws inspiration from elements of nature. Her creative process often begins with observation, leading her to experiment with new techniques and develop distinctive collections.
Mona has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Milan Jewellery Week (Artistar Jewels, 2019) and London African Fashion Week (2022). Her work has been featured on Arts Thread and Klimt02, and stocked by galleries including New Ashgate Gallery, Lustre Contemporary Crafts and The Brighton Pop Up.

Sun Pier House is home to 28 working studios shared by 33 professional artists and makers. Undoubtedly forming one of the most diverse and vibrant creative communities on the riverside.
Our residents represent a wide range of contemporary art and craft practices.
