See and Create CIC
Artist Statement:
See and Create launched in 2016 with the aim of providing a go-to place for Deaf Families to find out about Deaf-accessible creative events in Medway, Kent. They not only provide a listings website where you can search for fun BSL-friendly activities and workshops, but also co-ordinate their own events.
Initiated and led by resident artist Christopher Sacre, their goal is to provide fun, creative events where everyone can participate on an equal footing. This is especially important for families who use both BSL and spoken English, as it can help bring family members closer together through joint participation, helping Deaf Families meet and share their experiences.
See and Create’s goal is to make arts events accessible to all Deaf Families, because they know that creativity brings communities together – and inspires learning, understanding and most importantly, fun!
