We’re so excited to launch The Anchor in partnership with Medway Youth!
Sun Pier House has always been a bit in between—not quite a pub, but more than just a café. That’s why we love being part of Intra (which literally means “between”)! So, it made perfect sense for us to create a space for teens who are also in that in between stage—too old for traditional youth clubs, but not quite ready for the pub. Medway Youth agreed, and The Anchor was born!
Launching 25th February at 3:30 PM, The Anchor is your after-school/college social club where you can stop by for a drink, get creative, learn something new, or just chill with friends.
Run by experienced and supportive staff, it’s a welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel included, and have fun.

In partnership with Medway Youth, Sun Pier House will provide a dynamic space that fosters inspiration and collaboration and links to the thriving creative network in Medway.

Looking for a safe, welcoming space for your teen after school or college? The Anchor at Sun Pier House offers 15-18 year olds a place to hang out, get creative, or develop new skills. In partnership with Medway Youth, this program keeps young people off the streets and engaged in positive activities. Whether it’s art, photography, writing, or just socialising, The Anchor provides a friendly environment for growth and creativity.
Conveniently located in Chatham town centre, Sun Pier House is just a short walk from the waterfront bus station and train stations, making it easy for teens to access. Plus, there’s an onsite car park for hassle-free pick-up. Safety and community are our priorities, so you can feel confident knowing your teen has a secure place to be after school or college.
