Artist Statement:

“I have been doing art all my life and I work in sculpture, textiles, craft, painting, drawing. My studies took place at UCA Canterbury where I received a BA in Fine Art. Additionally I have studied many City & Guilds exams which have enabled me to learn techniques and put these to practice in my art. After studying sculpture and etching for a number of years I recently returned to textiles, my first love, using textiles as 2D and 3D sculptures

Medium & Specialty: Mixed Media

Sun Pier Resident Since: 2022

Education and Training:

  • BA in Fine Art from UCA Canterbury

“I have had a studio in Sun Pier since 2022. The studio has enabled me to participate in several residents exhibitions, and Medway Open Studios. I have met many artists with different disciplines, and can also meet up at Thursday meet ups and socialise with them when the café is open or chatting in the shared kitchen.

We pop into each others studios often and talk about our latest work. I share my studio space with a performance artist, another multi media artist and a musician/animator. “
