The Thursday Art Club welcomes all adults who have an interest in art. While it is particularly suited for older individuals looking for creative activities, it is open to all ages and skill levels. Makestock: Learn to crochet
Date: Thursday, 9th October 2025
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Location: Community Hire Space, 1st Floor
Over 3 weeks, you’ll cover basic stitches (chain, double, half treble, treble), how to start/finish, fix mistakes, and read patterns. You’ll make labelled swatches and begin a washcloth to complete at home.
All materials, tools, and refreshments provided. Taught in UK crochet terms. Suitable for right- and left-handed beginners.

Electric Medway Festival: Aurora

Electric Medway Festival is an annual October half-term family event, showcasing digital art created with the community.
This year’s sixth edition, Aurora, is inspired by last year’s Northern Lights over Kent, celebrating colour, energy, and ancestry. Marking Electric Medway’s 10th year, the Festival will support ten local artists and groups, including diverse voices from young people.

Sun Pier Sounds is back! Join us for laid-back live music from local musicians. Relax on a Thursday evening as we introduce you to three local artists playing stripped back, indie rock/pop, singer/songwriter and folk music. Doors open at 7pm with the first act at 7.30pm.
