Gabi Mind is a Mixed Media Artist and Textile Designer who has been practicing for 30 years. She joined us in our newly converted open plan studios in February 2020.

Working in both 2D and 3D, Gabi trained and worked as a Fashion Designer in her first career and loves to work with fabric, experimenting with its 3-dimensional potential.

Gabi also works with found objects, since discovering the joys of mud larking on the Kent coast and estuaries. Living in Whitstable overlooking the Sea for 22 years, Gabi uses the sea and sky there as a constant source of inspiration.

Another source of inspiration to her is her amazing students at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester where she also works as a Senior Lecturer.
